Cape Croker Elementary School services students Pre-k to Grade 8 for the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
We are a small community school with approximately 86-100 students per year. The school itself is operated by the Chippewas of Nawash Board of Education. Board members are:

CCES strives to provide quality First Nation Education following the Ontario Curriculum enhanced by our unique cultural and community history facilitated by inspiring Anishnaabe resource people of our community.
The 5 classroom teachers hold their Ontario teachers certification and our 2 Ojibway language teachers hold their Native Language Certificates. In addition 2 staff members hold qualification in Special Education: Specialist Special Education(AQ) and Resource Teacher Certification.
Each Split Grade Class is Serviced by qualified and/or experianced Educational Assistants that enable Students to receive small group and mainstream instruction.
An Alternative Program is provided by a Resource Educator Assistant for students in Grades 6-8 requiring social/ emotional support, life skills and work placement skills. This program is run in conjunction with the mainstream Grade 6-8 program.
